245 tire ???

can i put a 245/50/16 on a 16 by 7 rim or will it be to wide

It can be done. It's not quite ideal, being a bit wide for the wheel, the BSFS site says ideal rim range is from 7" - 8.5" rim widths, with 7.5" as ideal.http://www.bridgestonetire.com...=1075

Maxnix uses this size on his '00 Q45, factory alloys.

in short, you should be fine. Plenty of sidewall to help flex during installation. A little squished, yes, but not criticial. Mount one and decide how it looks to you.
