245 on the front of an S13??

ok so this just sounded wrong to me but some one told me that you can fit a 245/45/17 on the front of a S13 with a 17x8 wheel with a 42 offset. does this sound right to any one? i dont even know if that would fit on the back

this isnt me and it isnt my car im still stock but that is what a guy at my school says he has on his, i havent seen it but it doesnt sound even possible without a lot of fender flare and negative offset

That will hit your suspension, it's too high an offset. a 245 would be possible with something like a +20-25 offset on a 8" wide wheel.

youre better off with like a 8.5 or 9 +15 ish to fit that tire size, you need to run a stretch just to fit that wheel in front, like a 205

if youre going to run an 8 try to get below +30 if at all possible, at least

yea that is about what i said to him cause i have only heard of people using at most like a 215 on the front so i confronted him and he said that i was wrong but untill i see it or am told that he has like 1/2" spacers i dont belive it
