You could try a fit, but I think you will be okay. The difference between a typical 245/45 tire and a typical 245/50 tire is about 1 cm in extra sidewall height.
In the 245/45 tire, the height of the sidewall is about 245 x 0.45 = 110 mm and in the 245/50, the height of the sidewall is about 245 x 0.50 = 122 mm.
Take a look at your existing tire and see if you have about 1cm of room for the tire (probably the closest point would be the inside edge of the front tires to the suspension component behind it).
