well i got a set of 06 maxima wheels, 18's and i tried to install them the other day on my 93 coupe, the rears fit like a dream, the front tires hit the spring perch, so should i get smaller tires up front, spacers, or coilovers (because of the smaller spring)

car is 5 lug conv, stock shocks and springswheels are 18x7.75 +40 with 245/45/18 tires, i was thinking i could go with like a 235/35/18 or something to help the fronts clear.

here is what the back looked like, i really like the size and the way the car looks, once its lowered it'll be sex.

Now that's hella funny statement! I think it will look like total sheit. I would get different wheels with better sizing.

But to answer your question...yes you could get smaller tires and yes you could get spacers to make them fit.

But once you lower it with those offset you still might run into trouble.

To each his own.....good luck

There is nothing sexy about those wheels on a 240...

Spacers and smaller tires are your only options here.

ok, well it wont look sex, but atleast i wont get laughed at with the 16's i rock now, and free 18's are atleast worth trying

if i should run a smaller tire up front what size should i use? like i said before, the tire hits the lower mount for the spring, usually this sits over the rim and tire leaving me to believe the diameter is to large, when i put my 16' on i noticed they just cleared it with only an inch or so.

I dunno... I'd laugh. I have 16's ATM, too. But mine are 8.5 inches wide with a +27 offset. That's pretty close to flush.

I'd say go with 205/35/18 or 215/35/18.

yep...bye bye traction.......... , they are on the front....and i used to run 215/45/17 on a 17x8.5 +20 all around

that only way to make them fit is to use a smaller tire and spacers, i would use a 205/40/18 and a 15mm spacer

Yep. That's what happens when you buy bad fitting wheels.
