245/45/16 on lowered s14????

I have intrax springs, and tokico blues with stock 16 in. wheels. I want to get some 245/45/16 on the rear, will I be ok? My fender hangs down past the tire right now with stock size tires on, will this make it impossible for the bigger tires? Thanks in advance.Josh

Not with the stock wheels, thats far too wide of a tire to put on there safely.

Remember contact patch size is not a fuction of tire width. Only the shape is. The 205-55-16 tire that came on the stock SE wheels is the correct/best fitment for those wheels.

you can run a 225-50-16 if you feel the need to have a wider tire, but that's pushing the limits of "propper" fitment on the stock wheels.
