245/40/18 on a s13 whose done it?

debating on getting 245/40 in the rear for my ebay 9.5 inch wide. would it be alright? how much rollin? i also run sgx's would i need spacers? i know 235 fit fine with my setup

I know you're not inquiring about overall diameter and hence, effective axle ratio....

245/40-18 is on the large side.

OEM is 24.80" overall diameterI have 225/40-18 at 25.10" and maybe it's just a mind trick, but I'm really much happier with 205/55-16(24.80" OD) and for the larger tire I'm doing a 4.36 rear end to compensate and actually offer greater low end gearing.

245/35 will fit fine on that wheel and be closer to oem diameter, slightly better gearing etc

245/35 actually sounds pretty good size. any other opinons. what about a 235/35 woud that need stretching on and 9.5" wide

A not so common size, hard to find locally, and you pay a premium for both reasons and then you pay freight to boot. ..and stretching 235 width with a 35% sidewall onto a 9.5" is just madness.We know you have em so...

i only had 245/35 on 9.5. it wasnt very much stretch. 235/35 is a very wierd tire size. 245/35 is wierd enough, haha. i only got that size cause discount had a pair of tires somone didnt pick up and i got a price cut.

i ran 35 height on my old 18s and it just didnt cover enough space. remember i only have tein springs. chmercer it looks like you had to roll the fenders a little is it just because its slammed. what size tires are you running up front? i still might do 245/40 would i be dissapointed?

and you cant really compare my fitment to yours unless you are running the same offset, that in the picture is 18x7.5 -15 17x9.5 -8. front tire was a 225/40 i think.

yeah im also an s13 also. now that i think of it im kinda iffy on 245 fitting back there with a 35 offset.

well what offset are the wheels. thats going to play a huge factor. 245 is quite easy to fit on the back of a s13 if the wheels are sized properly.
