My original set of 225/40/19 and 245/40/19 staggered factory set up is worn out. I'm replacing them, is 245/35/19s and 275/30/19s an acceptable replacement? My tire guy says they are a perfect fit, I'm worried as the fronts look 3/8 taller than the fronts and my original set up... the backs were the taller tire, not the shorter.

Am I worried about nothing?

I've used 245/35 -19 front and 275/35 -19 for the rear in my 05 G35 coupe. Great looking tires that fill the rim out better IMO.

Hey Joe,

Doesn't look like you are using stock rims, but they look good. What size are your rims? Whats the tire height of your fronts and rears (top of tire)?

In case anyone is interested, I got the tires installed. My tire guys nearly went suicidal trying to get the 30's series on the rear, but they refused to give up, and eventually suceeded. I just finished a trip to Los Angelos from San Jose and back. I averaged a corrected 24mph at 80mph, and as far as I can tell, the fronts and rears are the same height. Next go around I still want to put 275/35/19s on the rear. The fronts look way way better than the overstretched factory 225/40/19s, the rears really don't look too much different, a little fatter, but not as significantly as the fronts. Definately the correct tires for the front, and I think 275/35/19 would be the best size for the rears.
