I'm looking into getting a 'new' dash for my '73 240z and was wondering if a '71 dash with wiring would work in my car.

depends on which 71, get the vin form the donor, if it's 14000 or under it won't work, if it's 18000 or over it should work

thats the problem, if you can find a NOS unit the cost is about the same as a refurb, or you can spend a hundred bucks and get a cap that is an amazing bargain by comparison

if you cant find it in the nicoclub classifieds, go over to www.zcar.com and lurk around the FOR SALE section and find someone parting out a 240z from the year you need. just got a PERFECT dash harness to replace the catastophe my cars previous owner called a "wire harness repair". shipped to my door for $30 in all its uncut unmolested beauty.
