240Z HEAD PROBLEM .PLEASE HELP WITH KNOWLEDGE

HI I HAVE A 72 240Z IT RAN FINE ,THEN ONE DAY IN MY DRIVEWAY IT BEGAN TO SMOKE STEAM. [HEAD GASKET I THOUGHT] I PULLED THE HEAD AND FOUND THAT THE WATER PORTS ON 1ST AND 2ND CYLINDERS WERE CLOGED WND HAD EATEN THE ALUNIUM AWAY VERY CLOSE TO THE FIRING DOME. ON THE 1ST CYLINDER ITS RIGHT TO THE DOME ABOUT 1/32 IN ON THE 2ND CYLINDER ABOUT 1.16 IN. I CANNOT FIND ANY OTHER CRACKS OR WAYS WATER GOT IN. CAN THIS BE WELDED. TO FILL WHERE THE CORROCION ATE THE ALUNIUM AWAY OR WHAT CAN I DO. I TRYED TO FIND ANOTHER HEAD BUT CAN'T I ALSO DON'T KNOW WHAT OTHER DATSUNS MODELS HAD OR USED THIS MOTOR TO FINE ANOTHER HEAD. I COULD USE ANY HELP. THANK YOU BRETT . [email protected]

The welding job should be fine if the guy doing it knows what his doing. As for a replacement head, any 6-cylinder L-series head, like one from a 280ZX would fit but the L28 has slightly bigger intake valves.
