Many of you know me as ( 240sxjoe91 ) well due to the update I had to change my name and make a new account because I lost my password. In late 2009 I bought my car, 1991 Nissan 240sx hatchback. The Man I bought it from was the second owner. He had owned the car for 4 months. He bought it from the original owner, who was an older lady that bought the car brand new in 1991. She sold it to the guy who was going to fix it up to be a drift car with his son. Well his son had no interest in it and he decided to sell it. I came across it one day on craigslist while I was at school. So that weekend my dad and I drove down to look at it. I ended up buying it for $1100 cash.
138,750 original miles on it when I bought it.
Trans shifted smooth
Motor ran great- Other than a slight hesitation.
No rust
Bad- Needed a hell of alot of bodywork.
But it did come with a full folder of paperwork telling you whats been done to it. The woman had put well over 4grand into it since 1998 i think it was.
Everything was tuned up in the past 4 years.
Onto the pics.
The day I brought it home.

And here is the huge a** dent. While it was parked on the street ( before i bought it ) someone backed into the side of it and left this ugly eye sore.
Image
Here is one of my favorite pics. It looks low but its really on 4x4 stance. Idk i just thought it looked cool
Image
Then one day I came out of school and looked at the side of my car and was like I really need to do something about that dent.
I went home backed the a** of the car into the garage, and went to work.

Hairdryers work well to heat up metal.

Came out well. I was happy for the time being.
Then I decided I wanted to get an exhaust for it. After looking around, I found that the Apexi N1 Clone was the best bang for the buck at the time being.
Image
$130 shipped to my front door.
Image
Put it on in 30 degree weather

Fitment was great

More updates to come.

Thanks, Im planning on going to the junkyard next weekend to see if they have any 240's. If they do then I'll see if I can cut off a rear drivers side qp. Also looking for rims. The stock se's arent doing it for me. It will also be dropped soon.

Hey Joe, if your looking for a quarter panel... Check craigslist to see if anyone is parting out an s13 hatch. And check to see if someone is just selling one! If your gonna take off your qp to install a new one anyway, you mays well just take yours off, and bang it out somemore! Yours is not ruined yet, and if you take it off and fix yours its gonna be the same color.

My clearcoat was coming off of my hatch, i had some left over paint from my rims. I was like you know what it cant hurt. Once i started sanding i knew that this hatch had the normal rust sponge on it...

So Ive taken some more pics of my car. not much of an update yet but there will be some to come for sure!
My rear bumper has some fitment issues, not sure what the heck is wrong with it but i want to fix it.
On the left side its in way under the tail light..The more right you go it gets flush? About the middle is where it starts to get flush.
This is what it looks like.
Image
I took off the rear bumper to see if there were any dents or anything but i looked and nothing really?
Image
Image
Does anyone have any ideas on this?
.
.
.
On an upside today was really nice and since its fall tree's are beggining to loose their leaves, so I thought it would be cool to take some pics at my girlfriends house under the big a** Tree in her front yard. I think they came out great....

Looks good, but really look into hang new qp's or even like a 30mm overfender? Just a though,

With the rear bumper the bumper could be warped itself or (I hope to god it isn't this) I seriously doubt it because were it was hit is the frame of the car is actually bent.. :ohno:
That's all I can think of but I'm still a noob myself, just going from what I've seen and done myself.

Your build was never fast but for some reason I've always liked it haha. Are you talking about just repainting the trunk and the qp or the whole car entirely? Got any ideas for wheels?

Yea repainting the whole car white.. Maybe do black on the top where the sunroof is..Im getting it for free so im not going to complain the guy already has the paint and bondo and he's a family friend of my gf's family...so he was like do you want help with the qp and paint cause i have it..I jumped on it..As for wheels Im not sure yet. I dont have alot of money considering i just spend $700 on a college class. I may go with xxr's or something not to sure yet any suggestions?

Yeah those would probably be fine. I'm not really a wheels guy so I'm not too sure. Plus s14 and s13 rim styles are a little different. S13's can get away with meshies. Just search around I guess. And white paint would be sick I've always wanted my s14 to be white.

Actually I forgot. If you haven't checked out the xxr 526 and 527's, I recommend doing so. They look good, they're 4 lug, good sizes (+20 if i remember right too) and they're like $165 a wheel. Thats a deal haha.

Alright so another update...Back in january ( my moms b-day the 21st ) I got off work early and i was coming home.. i was about 1/4 mile away from my house coming around a corner, i hit some black ice and lost control of the 240...well lets just say the good side isnt so pretty anymore.. i ended up hitting a guys mailbox ( which i talked to him and offered to replace it and he said it was no big deal ) i think i hit a telephone pole and i ended up in a ditch...Ugh i hate f***ing ice... here are some pics..
Got most of the dent out it was huge.. No pic of the dent before..
Everything was ok except the body damage.. no frame damage or suspension damage
