ehh mid-generator....
Even if they built it, I don't think an aluminium/carbon fiber electric super-ish-car has anything to do with this thread.
Is the motor shaking hard?
I think you have an injector issue. Maybe a blown O-ring.
Try unplugging spark plugs while it's running, and if it changes, replug it and go to the next. When you find the bad one (as you say you already checked the plugs and wires.... but either way, as long as it will arc to the head you're fine) you've found your bad injector. You could try getting a box of o-rings (each time you put one in, you'll need a new nose one), and switching it with another cylinder to make sure that's the problem.
Just make sure you relieve fuel pressure before pulling injectors.
Of course, it COULD be other things, check your oil and coolant to make sure they look right, before you continue.
And, if you have a leaky o-ring, check the oil for being thinner than it should be or smelling very strongly of gas. If the injector just cut out, (which would probably not explain the smoke, but is possible) then this wouldn't be the case.
But hey, it could be anything, maybe your timing's off, don't take me too seriously. This is just a common problem at this age on these cars.
