240sx won't start

Hi I'm sure this is going to be somewhere on the forums and i need to look harder but I recently bought at 93 vert and it recently didn't want to start... It's auto, when I turn the key lights come on and when I try to start car it's nothing happens, no sound from anything except a click,

First time that happened I jump started and it worked for some reason,
Second time it happened jump start didn't work so I bought new battery (no sense) and cleaned terminals which had no corrosion and it started..

Next time I try to start car it has nothing again , starter was checked and it's good..all terminals and bolts are nice a tight... I got an ignition switch to replace old one but I don't think I'm going to be able to.. The wiring on the ignition switch has lots of other wires going into it... is there something else that could be my problem? Is the whole assembly bad? I don't think so... Thanks for any help... I'm new to 240 ....... I may just be a dumb a**? Sorry for wasting your time if so...

I have all parts for fresh new 5 speed swap but just want a running car before i do

Check for voltage to the starter with a multi meter, sounds like a bad connection/bad wire either on the positive lead from the battery to the starter or a bad ground.

This morning I was able to crank the engine directly from the ignition switch (half turn or it just does nothing)but it would not start, am I missing something? Why won't my car start from ignition switch directly(flathead)? It sounds like it wants to start but it doesn't, Also does this tell me that my ignition cylinder is bad?

Should I still check voltage? i am unable to today

So it doesn't turn over from the key, just no fire?

yes ... from the key it doesnt work, but from ignition switch it wants to start but wont.. like out of gas or something? here is a very short video i made of the problem this morning.. i am checking engine bay grounds later today if i can
