perhaps this topic has been discussed before, nonetheless, it deserves to be talked about! so, back to my question, a 240sx would look better with or without the molding all around the body? obviously this is a very basic question; one can easily ask "do you mean a 2 tone with the molding dividing'em? because that looks nice too." or "what if you have an aftermarket kit? i mean vertex doesnt have molding." discuss.

to be completely honest, this isn't a serious question. i'm just a little sick of looking at and reading the same threads everyday. (EXCEPT, i do not get tired of looking at all the sexy cars on the 'best looking 240sx' thread). more pics kalypso!

I didn't know there Hmongs in Arizona. Then again, there aren't many that lives in Seoul either and here I am. Anyways, this is all a matter of opinions. I like it without, so I removed mine. I think it gives a cleaner more modern look.

Without. That molding is horrendous. I removed most of mine, but the dried out molding on the corners of the front bumper and on the rear bumper are proving to be a b*tch to remove...

I think it looks better without. ALOT cleaner. Im not a fan of Two-Tone paint jobs either, so still wouldn't like it as a devider.
Damn thing is distracting to the eye. Nothing worse than following the lines of some pure eye candy, just to hit that damn speed bump in the middle of the body! UGH.

I'm ok with two tone paint jobs. You don't see them often on hatches. So when I see something creative, like this:

I tend to like it...

i think it looks way better without the molding. Two tone coupes can rock it, cause it divides the colors well for me. otherwise, its ugllllyyy

OP is talking about that black stripe that runs all along the s13's exterior and whether to take it or not. So far, seems like most of us hate it and thinks the cars are much cleaner without it.

It's actually just black adhesive... almost like electrical tape. You can pull most of it off with your fingers. But the bumpers are much harder to clean it off of...

I took mine off to do the ghetto paint job below. I'm actually thinking about replacing it, though. What do you think?

Nooooo! Not the upper thin line... The thick lower one with the black tape in it!
Image
^^^See the black stripe that starts on the front bumper, runs under your side marker, continues between your wheels and all around the car? Thats just tape! Fugly tape! No need for body filler... just pull it off.

S13's are soooo much cleaner without it...

Nope. The tape on my sides cam off really easy by just using my finger nails. All the adhesize stayed on the black strip. The tape on the bumpers is all dry/cracked and difficult to remove though... :frown:
