well i was installing the axles from the j30 into my s13 and it wouldnt fit. well i was working on it with a crowbar and finally got it...well sort of...something was in the way of the bolt at found out it was the plate that is supposed to go into the vlsd output flange...well i took the axle out and that is exactly what it was. the plate got disconnected from the axle and all the silicone from inside the axle was showing...is it possible to fix that or do i need a new axle. also which axle is supposed to be longer...because i think i put it on the wrong side...because the "passenger" side one went in with ease and the "drivers" side one is the one that broke...so do you think i can fix it or do you think i should buy a new axle thnx guys

It should be fine. Just press that cap back on and make sure no dirt or anything go inside.

And, from what I recall, the passenger side is the longer one. But, you should be able to search around and find a definite answer for that.
