240sx with 2 motors ZOMG

i am in a dillema i will be buying a motor from a friend that supposedly has 26xxx miles for dirt cheap today at 3:30 but i have no truck:( i have called different relatives and none have acces to trucks either so what im asking is has anyone ever put a car in the trunk/ hatch of there 240? that is my only option because i cant let this motor go by.anyone

ive seen blocks transported in trunksif anything dislocate the transmission from the block if there is one and make 2 trips.spead carpet/plastic etc on the ground hatch floor car floor whatever.

and take the backseat out if needed.but really.. if u can fit 10 15in wheels+tires back there.. you can fit a KA or SR

Thanks thats what i wanted to hear,only thing that worries me is putting the motor in with the cherypicker do you guys think the hatch opens that far to put it in there? i will post pics if i do take the DD

We once picked up a KA24E in the back of a Nissan Stanza. We couldn't get it to fit obviously, so we disassembled it until it did.

Thats how i bought my hatch.There was a engine under the hood,and a blown engine in the trunk.It fit rather well actually.

Theres a ford 302 in the trunk of my coupe.

Just make sure you drain out all the fluids to prevent more mess.

My friend managed to fit a dual cam ka24 in the back seat of his Camry. lol

it will fit. i fit a ka24de in the hatch of my 86 crx. and a zc. lol. only bad part was the car was slammed on coilovers already so every bump i smelled rubber

i got back from my friends house with the dualcam in the back:) the hatch didnt close but it does fit it was a complete motor with even the ac compressor still attacehd i will post pics loter on tonight or tomorrow once i get a chance to upload teh pics.

I've transported motors like this all the time. I have 2 sr's at one point doing it this way.

strip the block down, take off the accesories and manifolds. from here you can either lay it against your back seat and use your seat belt to hold it in place, it fits quite nicely, only takes 2 people to lift, unless you are a bunch of p******. or you can take your pasenger seat out and you can fit the whole motor without taking anything off. I only do this when I have a trans to carry and I put the trans in the backseat and put the motor where the passenger seat goes. it can always fit in the trnk if you lay it flat
