hello there.

So I decided that after i changed my oil i should clean out my engine bay. I bought some gumout degreaser and sprayed the bay down. Following the instructions on the can, I waited 10 min's and then washed the bay with a hose. I then went to start up the car and the car turned over but never started.

Since this happened i cleaned all the water from the spark plugs, replaced all the wires, replaced the distributor cap, and dried some of the harness plugs that i found were wet. All the electronics inside the car still work including the lights, but for some reason I don't have any spark to my plugs. I checked the fuel pump and that is working correctly and all the injectors are firing.. everything on the car is working EXCEPT FOR THE PLUGS NOT BEING ABLE TO FIRE.. when i go to start the car it just turns over.. absolutely no sings of firing what so ever.. it doesn't even smell like burnt gas. I've tried about every 30-45 mins for the past 7 or 8 hours.. nothing... I'm pretty sure I've tried everything, but I'm hoping i over looked something really simple. I REALLY don't wanna take it to a shop because they'll charge me a hundred just to tell me what my problem is.

please help me out, this is my daily driver! I have a 98 s14 if that helps.. Thanks in advance everyone. :)

did you wipe dry the rotor. it might be the ignition module inside the distributor. i had that happen to me on my old mazda. just an idea
