will 240sx wheels fit a s30 chassis?

no, the 240SX uses a high positive offset, the S30 uses a zero offset

the wheels might clean the S30 suspension but the wheels and tires would be tucked in under the car and look really funny

yes, actually the s13/14 use a mid hihg offset, like a +20 to +30, most fwd's are higher like +40 to +45

and of course offset is a function of width, so a 15x7 zero offset fits the S30 but a zero offset 15x9 will hit the strut and stick out too far

yea my 240sx wheels did not clear my struts.

thanks for the tip./ I went to look at a set of wheels from a 240sx, and the guy swore up and down that they would fit. I took a mental measurement of everything and when I got back I checked it against clearance in the car and the math said they wouldn't fit.
