240sx wheel offset?

hey I was wondering what the max offset is for the s13 240sx? I want to get some 17 in wheels with 215/40/17 tires and the wheels are +32 offset will these fit or will they stick out of the wheel wells and look super stupid!!!!! thanks

how wide is the wheel, 215 tire im guessing its a 7 in wide or no more than 8 inch wide, yea it will fit without sticking out of the fender

like he said, 17 by what? hopefully at least 8, and even then +32 will look bad.

somewhere around x8 +20 is good.

I'm wondering what is the max offset possible with coilovers. The spring ends up next to the tire which reduces clearance but by how much?

soory to bring this old thread back up but Im updating the info on this the wheels I want are 17-7 in and they are not +32 offset they are +40 offset! the tires will be 215/40/17 they are tenzo passion 5 wheels if that helps! I cant find any info on if these will stick out of my fenders any where! thanks

nowhere even close, they will look pretty sunken. those wheels are cheap and will look it. they won't even come close to sticking out of the wheel wells.

are you sure they will look sunken? I thought that the stock wheels on an s13 are +40 offset also? im not sure about that though! wouldnt I just be getting a 1 inch wider wheel?( 6in to 7in)? if any one has info on the stock offset on the s13 that would be cool!!! thanks guys!!

stock s13 wheels are 15x6 +40. the wheel would only stick out an extra 1/2"; 1/2" to the outside and 1/2" to the inside. that's not even close to being flush, let alone stick out.

there is a thread of s13 wheel sizes, check it out and see what the right size wheel will do for the look of the car.
