I live in Los Angeles, CA and I've never seen snow except on TV. I live a very sheltered life.

I'd just buy a beater if I were you. It can be drivin in the snow, carefully of course, but with the SR, it will be worse than with the KA.

It's called drive with caution and commen sense in the winter. IE keep it below 3500 rpm's in the sr.

i would think if you keep it at low rpms before the turbo hits then you should be fine.

If you have the right tires and a careful right foot, it's not difficult to drive RWD in the snow at all.

We get ice/snow pretty regularly up here. Over the years I've driven my Z30, S13, a 3rd gen. F-Body, a 4th gen. F-Body, S14, and MGB all in the snow, all RWD with varying engine types and horsepower.

Good all-season tires = paramount. Bad tires or summer tires will make driving in the snow nearly impossible.

If I can handle a 3300lbs, 330+ hp RWD monster in six inches of snow and slush (without traction control) then I don't anticipate you will have problems with an SR-equipped 240.

Buy something fwd or 4wd for a winter vehicle. put up a gmc jimmy for like 200 bux and drive that. The 240 will stay nicer in the garage anyways.
