Could anyone tell me how a 240sx handles in the snow compared to a newer mustang? I have a mustang right now and desperately want an S14 240sx, but the only concern I have is how it is going to handle in the snow. I live in Indiana and I really can't drive my Mustang in the winter anymore.

I drove my 240 all winter w/o ABS and it's fine. I live in Nebraska, so we get ALOT of snow. Don't be a *****, buy an s14. A mustang is just gonna be worse for the winter.

Weight distribution makes a big difference, among other things. Dump the Mustang anyway, and get a used dodge caravan for harsh winters :P

HAHA, Used Caravan. You need a Metro w/ a 180SX sway bar bolted onto the front tow hooks for maximum ramming fun!

Don't ask me how I know it fits. :D

Cpoore-Where are you from? I am sure winter conditions vary from region to region.

I live in Pennsylvania. We get a fair amount of snow. Personally, I'd recommend getting a cheapo winter beater car. I don't want to subject my 240 to corrosive road salt and the poor winter driving skills of fellow motorists. Unfortunately, I don't have a garage to park it in, but I can at least keep the undercarriage clear of snow and salt.

Anyway, back to the subject at hand. A RWD car isn't the easiest thing in the world to drive in the snow, but it's certainly possible. People do it all the time. Good snow tires and a LSD would probably do wonders, though.

My gut instinct would say neither car and to get an AWD vehicle. But Indiana (excluding the Region) does not get a lot of snow, nor harsh winters. I would think between the 240 and a Mustang that the Mustang would have more weight thus fairing a little bit better in the winter. Both cars though for Indiana would not be a problem.
