Guys, please help me justify my choice of buying a 1995 240sx over a 1995 integra! Thanks.

oh boy....

RWD for starters.

What exactly do you want to know? Assuming you are an informed car buyer... you should know what the opportunity costs are before making a purchase decision. In other words... you should know enough about your alternative choices that you decided against them. You chose the 240sx... obviously you had some reasons... why do you need validation from us?

Might be, although I know that RWD is generally more expensive then FWD.

'95 240 is teh sex.

Intergras are cool and all, but it's no where near as fun as driving a RWD car.

yeah, drifting requires RWD...heh

but really, the 240sx is much mroe refined and just an all around better car...why you ask?

starts w/ an N...ends w/ an N...:)

Dude the answer is so obvious. If you want an excellent platform for performance go with the 240. If you only are searching for a good looking car then its personal preference. Don't get me wrong, I like both cars, but you can see which one I chose...

integras are just as reliable as a 240 if not more reliable. but the 240 platform is significantly better than the integra, no matter what you wanna do. insurance will be about the same for both cars. i went from a prelude to a 240 and it only went up like $10 more a month. all model integras are quicker than the 240 in stock form. and fwd sucks so id go with the 240. torque is a lovely thing.

ls and gs against a 240 is pretty damn even accelleration wise.

both are generally reliable, though everyone I know around here with a 240 (being 2 for the most part) are experiencing issues with them, though I can't say much as my Ford is breaking interior stuff all the time (haha! it's fine mechanically other then shot front bushings) both are good choices though, just depends on what you wanna do, the acura can be made into a winning road racer, just watch some SCCA racing. The 240 will probably yeild a better driving experience for you though, not to mention have an armrest:D

+RWD+More fun than an LS MUCH cheeper than a GSR or type R+Tougher Tranner+Burnouts+RWD-Reliability (still good but not AS good)-Harder to work on (hondas were designed to be taken apart 240's wern't)-ummm fuel economy... I'm coming up short here.

Vtec is a blast if you aren't planning a turbo though.

I had a CRX with a swap that ran 15.7 with the vtec oil pressure sensor unplugged and a 14.3 with it plugged in.

Plus the S14 is sexier (=more girls) which is all that really matters.

yeah the dc2 is a ***** car, in my opinion. the s14 has more stout body lines and looks tougher. you said fuel economy... my fuel economy blows ***. i was getting about the same gas mileage with my boosted lude as im getting with my stock 240. i think it could be something wrong with my car though. or maybe its just the way i drive it. a 240 can be an awesome road racer with an sr20 swap. although a buddy of mine has a dc2 and not to long ago we put the comptech rear sway bay/lower tie bar setup on it and it handles like you would not believe. no more understeer, thats what really sucks about fwd. stock vs stock i still say go with the 240. yeah tegs are easier to work on, all hondas are for that matter.

Im new to this site and dont have a 240sx yet but I plane on getting one this week. The teg is a great car I have one right now. But my pick would be the 240sx. Im a honda fan all the way. But there is only 2 reasons i want a 240 is that its RWD and you can drot a skiline engine in them. i love My Teg and always will bet the 240sx is still a better platform for a car. By the way I have an LS and beat 2 240sx with it and the last one I raced made me want a 240sx even more that is why I'm cleaning my bank account to get one. Lets just say I got wooped so bad that I mad him pop his hood and saw the rb face to face for the first time in my life. That one sweet as s car.

The - was what the teggy had on the 240... fuel economy i think is better on the teg. Also nissans aren't quite as reliable as hondas... Except the trannys.
