Is it true that the 240sx engine runs rougher in the cold winter? I mean, is it normal or the 240sx just doesn't react well in the winter.

This applies to many cars/engines, not only the 240sx. Let it warm up and it will be fine.

the colder air is alot better though because it is more dense and more air gets to the engine as compared to warmer air that is less dense.

dude, you think you are are the only one that knows that? I was asking about the reaction of the 240sx vs cold. Because I test drove one and the guy said the car reacts to the cold terribly, and when i drove it, the engine sounds like ****. The timing chain was off when I poped the hood and heard it roared. Otherwise, it's a nice car to drive. The car looks big, but when you sit in it, it's crammed up, but I get the feeling of controling the car more. But if i do get in an accident, i don't think i have enough room to move around in there...

You're looking at a 240 and you can hear the timing chain? Unless you intend on doing the SR20 swap RIGHT AWAY, don't pay more than $1000 for that car, no matter what condition it's in. The timing chain has eaten through the outer guide and it will bite into the timing chain cover and blow your headgasket (if it hasn't already). It's pretty common on the KA's. You will need to tear the engine apart to fix it.
