Would a 300hp 240sx with suspension upgrades such as new springs, struts and wheels outhandle and outrun a 300zx TT stock? Or would they be pretty much be the same when it comes to performance?

if they are both manual and both the drivers know how to drive right, the 300 will win, but if one of them dont know how to drive and shift right then the other would win

i love 240's, i think the 300 would pull ahead a little, though but like i said it would probly depend on who's driving the car more than anything....i could be wrong though, so i dont know

i would say the same thing main. the 240's would out handle a ZX (i had discussion simalar to this b4) the 300's are nis and are pretty fast but i don't think it would out handle a 240. 1/4 times aren't the issue in this argument though. on track (where it really counts) the 240 would pull in better or quiker times.

I dont see how the 300 would win. If both cars have the same power and the 240 weighs a couple hunded pounds less. Maybe if the 240 had terrible tubo lag or was running an open diff and couldnt get traction. But with good runs from each car I would say the 240 would win.

think of it like this whats faster a 200hp car or a 200hp bike. yeah i know it's like comparing apples to oranges but you get my point i hope.

not neccesary. it's just a pain in the a s s for owners though. if your goign to tune the car a simple thing like intake can take up to an hour. simple b/c the engine bay is so small. if someone is wanting to tune a ZX they better have everything they want to put into the engine at hand and nothing else. with the ZX tt the turbo's can only be reached by taking the entier engine out. why take the enigne out if you now your gign to get more stuff. it's going to cost money for someone to constatnly drop the engine everytime you want to do something. granted you don't allways have to take the engine out if you want to do something to it. IDK it's a just a hasle.

You sure about having to pull the engine to change stuff? No offense but I seriously doubt that. Although I have heard it is small and expensive because you need 2 of everything...

If it is true I guess I learned something new today. :)

for the twin turbo ZXs pretty much only certain things like turbo and i think coolers. there is basicly no room to do anyting and like i said b4, the way how the turbo systems are hooked up, have to pull the block to get to them. Hmm and i was even talking about the fact that you need to double the price of everything that you get!

You are right, it all comes down to the driver. The better driver will win, no matter how fast the car is. I didnt believe something like this would be true until i saw a S13 coupe with a SR running high 16s at the track. YES HIGH 16's in the 1/4 MILE!!! And I ran 16 flat in my bone stock S13 coupe :D
