I have a stock 89 s13 with 228K miles, I've changed the plugs, wires, rotor, cap, O2 sensor, air and fuel filter within the last 30k. I've swapped out the engine temp sensor, IAA, and the MAF with ones from a junkyard as I've had the common idle problems with a high mileage 240 (flushed the plenum and throttle body with intake cleaner). All of a sudden the other day it started shaking at low idle and I don't seem to have power when I hit the accel. I checked the self diag in the ECCS and it said it was the MAF, so I replaced it. I don't get the fault anymore but it still shakes terribly when I'm just sitting there. I'm thinking injectors but I'm not sure, I do have the big service manual and will check the injectors tomorrow. I'm just a poor grad student so I'm hoping a gearhead out there may know my problem. By no means am I a pro at this stuff and I have tried searching for previous posts with no success. Would LOVE some help, thanks.

It sounds like the same problem i was having with my car. Turns out one of the wires < the black one with the silver spots > was shorting out and causing one of my fuel injectors to not function so my engine would idle like a desil truck.

So the wires running to the injectors themselves were shorting out? Did you replace the wiring harness?
