So the other day I bought a slightly new 08 MX-5 Miata, and when I got home and parked it beside the 240, i couldnt help but to do a little comparison. I know its not really fair to compare a 17 year old car to a 2 year old one but in all actuality, the vert really has quite a bit going for it. I like the extra room in the vert and the addition of a back seat (even if it is almost useless to sit in) really allows for a more roomy feeling. Also, I like the fact the vert top is taller as I easily bump my head on the MX5 top and finally, I really like the look of the 240. IMHO it has a more aggressive look to it and not to mention its such a rare car that you rarely see another one on the road. I do think however, the 240 interior sucks big time and I am not crazy about the plastic window in the least. All in all, however, I think it holds itself well against the newer roadsters out there and even though the MX5 may have better fit and finish inside, suspension, and rear window, I still enjoy taking the vert out cruising.

THAT is a great looking S13 interior. Nicely updated with modern gear but still maintains the look and feel of the original.

Yeah thats a pretty sweet interior for sure. Mine however looks nothing like that. I have the warped rear interior panels and the usual assortment of broken plastic and outdated tweed. I really think it would make owning a 240 vert even better if ASC would have used better materials in the conversion process and ditched the tweed in the interiors all together.
