240sx (uk 200sx) 2JZ swap questions

We're looking at slotting the stock s14a crossmember to fit the 2JZ with nissan mount and Toyota brackets. We will make a gearbox mount as we do with our RB25 swap....IF the engine is sat in this possition, what bellhousing with the r154 box would get the shifter in the correct possition?

Some of the mounting kits move the engine further back, is this just for weight? Or does it need doing to get the shifter in the stock possition, I dont want to cut and weld the stick if possible as I have bad experiences of this.....
