Cool pics, but i wouldn't exactly call the FC a twin, just got the color scheme and pop-ups going for it. And his headlights is yellow. Nice cars though.

I like the looks of an S13 hatch much more than an FC. The FC is only subtlety different, but those changes make it look much more dated.

Rotaries are cool though. They may not last the longest, but are still an efficient engine if done right.

Thats my FC and its Legit TurboII

haha and the reason we call each other "Twins" is because

Both Hatches
Both White
Both Turbo'd
Both Friends
Both Fast
Both Little Wings or lips
Both Track our cars
Both have same sun roof style

Thats why we call ours twins "fraternal" twins if u want to be exact

people still think rotary engines are unreliable? lol

I used to repeat what others said about Rotary engines.

- unreliable
- no torque

... then I drove a Turbo II and loved it!

182hp of stock sweetness that spun the rear wheels with ease and sounded awesome while doing it. they aren't unreliable either. just don't hold good compression numbers as long as a piston engine.

Aye i was just poking fun because those posters make me laugh. I haven't had the pleasure of owning a rotary myself but friends of mine have with no extraordinary problems.

yeah, but I have realized... it is just like any other car, people post the problems more often than the problem free cars. that leads to a bad rep. lol

FC's are cool, they will always be cooler than any 240.

I like both though.

I like the FC. It needs S5 bumper and Tail lamps.
Both are clean.

greed and stupidty ruined it...the same thing ruins rotaries...never doing maintenance and trying to push more boost without compensating the fuel needs.
and thinking its fun to hold it to the floor revving them skyhigh for no reason at all causing eccentric shaft to wobble and smack a rotor into the wall of its housing.
if people dont understand them, how could they ever hope to keep one alive.

In all fairness, the 13B's apex seals did go out in a fairly short amount of mileage. Average life span for the turbo models was around 70k, if I remember right. And for every pound of boost you cranked past stock, you could count another 5-10k off that expectancy. But a fact like that is something most people accept when they purchase a rotary, just like they have to accept the fact that the motor WILL burn some oil by design, so they have to keep an eye on the oil level (kind of like my old Tempo)

i think most people rarely realised this fact. thinking they could go 3000 for an oil change or a little more if they are lazy. not knowing it used oil to lube the apex seals in its cycle.
this lead to man many early deaths of a rotary. misinformation or simply just not knowing.
the wankel is a mystery to most people man, they cant grasp it and certainly dont want to know about it in detail.
with the internet, a rise in popularity of rwd japanese vehicles and the types of motorsports that are appealing to the youth now they are being seen in a new light by many. i think its great, now if only mazda would offer 13bt crate options to regular people, thatd be nice.
