240sx transmission problems! Help me plz. I need this car for work...

Ok, I have a 1989 240sx with a 1996 engine, manaul transmission.

When I push in the clutch pedal....makes a noise. The noise is like a "Phrarrr" its really loud. Only when I apply the pedel it makes the noise.

It does not slip...it goes into gear...just makes that noise (When I am on the pedel) When I let of the clutch pedal, it stops making that noise.

I was thinking maybe a throw out bearing? Or transmission? Or whatever, I really dont know.

I need this car for work. If I dont get it done in like 3 days I am fired....

can you describe the 'Phrarrr' a little more...have you checked the obvious? try bleeding the clutch line and the clutch slave cylinder. I had a slave cylinder go bad on me and it made a noise kinda similar to what I think your describing. are the master and slave cylinder leaking? If you in a hurry try simple things before you yank the transmission to swap a throwout bearing.

also..you say it goes into gear. Is this running or not? the transmission will go into gear if the engine is off either way. if it won't go in with the car running it means the clutch isn't disengaging and would to me put suspicion on the hydraulic side of things
