V6 mustang...not only does is it a chick car, its a slow one...there are many better choices IMO, and I'm sorry you totaled your 240, you must have really destroyed it to toast all the audio stuff too.

Mid-late 80's BMW 5-series. I went from almost losing my license with my Datsun 510 spree, to driving a 528e for the last two years and getting 0 tickets / points (knock on wood). The BMW is even less expensive to insure than my 510 was.

Go to Google and do a search for Mustang <insert year here> for sale. I found my 92 240SX via a Google search, that actually returned a link to the NICO Classified Forum. Go figure. =)

All of the above are good places to look. Ford dealers, rental car agencies (like Hertz), car auctions, are also places to look for non-V8 used Mustangs. There's no shortage of them around, as Ford made a bazillion of them. But I don't think the other guys missed the point. They're suggesting that there may be better choices out there besides non-V-8 Mustangs. I think that's pretty good advice. Insurance costs alone on Mustangs will be higher than a 240sx, for example. But if you have your heart set on a 'stang, well... good luck to you.

i would probly never get a mustang but they can look good since im guessing your just gonna go for show? not speed at least anyways, but i still think the 240 is the best choice, that way its NOT a fast car in stock form, but incase you change your mind you can always make it fast...and a 240 kills the mustang as far as looks go, especialy the s14's

it all depends on which model mustang the newer v6 models have 190hp the 94 has 145 which is bad and the old 4 bangers had 105 booo. v6 mustangs can be pretty quick even though they weigh more.

Well stangs arent that great of a car, but they are one of the best go fast cars out there for cheap. If you do get one, only get a 99+ mustang, if you look hard you might be able to find one for 9k. they dont have any good turbo kits for them, but there are good SC kits to take them up to 300+ rwhp, and head kits that take them up to 220rwhp. but you may just want to get a 99+ GT as my friend is kicking himself now for getting a v6 and the insurance isnt much difrent. oh and they weigh in at 3000k.
