Hi this is my second post and i know alot, i mean alot of you guys probally heard all these questions (i am about to ask) before and probally really bored from answering them. im sorry but i just recently joined this forum and am focusing on starting a new project car (recently finish a DSM) i asked a general question on which generation will benefit me on looking most likely like a skyline. after researching about 3 hours in several forums i believe (personal peference) that a 1995 240sx and/or 1996 240sx will look the most like a r33 skyline comapred to the rest (sorry to those who own s13 or a 97-98 240sx, i think the converted r33 looks more authentic than a converted r32 model, and we all know r34 is out of the question).

Can you guys help me to decide which parts are neccesary for a 95 and/or 96 conversion to a skyline r33. i really want to focus on the exterior before getting my hand on the mechanics.

I have some links.......on ebay (they might change or be dead due to their "ticker") that are r33 parts. just wanted to see if they would help to "authenticate" my soon to be 95 or 96 240sx into an almost replica of a r33. if you guys know some better "looking/authentic" parts/brands in replace on what i posted for a 95-96 240sx r33 conversion on the links, please please PLEASE inform me. i hope to keep you guys informed on my soon to be project.

all these items are just examples (i will purchase mines through different methods). THANKS for helping me out, i appreciate it.

Im also now intrested in this conversion. But I dont have that year 240sx. I have a 1992 Nissan 240SE. But I had in the past done a conversion on my dads Accord. He has a 1992 Honda Accord and we just now got done putting on Mercedes Benz CLK tailights on them. It wasnt a bolt-on job. It took about 2gs to do. We took it into a body shop for them to Custom modify it on. Does the R33 work for your car. Or are you just assuming that it will be bolt on. The headlights, brakets, Fenders, Bumpers? I mean the idea itself sounds good. I would love to see it done. Im behind ya man. I will try to find out information for you. Good Luck, sry I could not of been any help.

hey thanks alot for supporting me and helping me out Silvia_Freak. from what i have read and researched your 1992 Nissan 240SE or in other words s13 will go best with a kyline r32 conversion. is should be easy with the right body kit and jdm/oem parts. Well at least there wont be alot or too much modding/fabricating to make the parts fit. fro mwhat i have learned for the r33 conversion im going for, the front bumper is very simple (thank you bodykits!) while trying to place the grill and headlights i will need to get a new (maybe custom) carbon fiber hood in order to make the front "look right"/ lined up. the worst part abot this convserion would be the taillights since the r33 tailights are a bit larger. i meay have to customize my trunk (maybe getting a OEM/JDM r33 trunk hood w/spoiler ). i hope to "authentic" and replicate the r33 as much as possible. meaning i will also go for a RB25det engine swap and the turbo front manifold also. People keep "flaming" that the time and money spent is almost equivalent to getting a real r33, which is absolutely wrong (err in my case that is). Getting a "legalized" r33 from motrex cost up to $30-40k while coverting cost at most up to about 17k +- the parts you get and where you get them and shipping. But hey thanks alot for your support, it seems not alot of people support those who want to convert a s14 to a r33 due to the rareity of s14(s). sorry about the car domain link, it might be broken so i wasnt able to see the accord. sorry. and thanks again for your support.

yah i saw it on several forums and several ebay account i guess......... the car is an automatic........ and thee are alot of imperfections. the front is ok i guess except some of the lines dont match up and i feels crooked. better than most ive seen at least (except for this other one). and the tailights....well i got to applaud the guy for putting them on. although to some people it may seem perfect but to people who want to go for the "authentic" look the lights seem a bit to high due the the fact that the s14 rears are slanted while the r33 are straight. to me i feel 15k is very expensive unless he has put a rb motor in and has changed the car from A/t to M/T. i talk the the guy, steve and he pan to work on another project similar to the car hes selling. i guess the one he is selling on eba was like a test-trial before starting a real conversion. thanks for the insight really appreciate it.

yo ed. i couldnt have said that in better words. that was the test trial car because there is no info on this conversion. im the first one to do it on a s14. as soon as this one goes, its onto the rb25 swap and so on. and it will be done with measurements rather than guessing. im doing the measurements before i get rid of the car. and the reason for the crookedness was a minor 5 mph collision and i never adjusted the headlights back... car will be sold without imperfections though for 15k.

Actually, this guy who lives by me has a s13 coupe, he has his fully converted to R32 ( exterior wise ) , at first it fooled me. But then i realized it was WAY to small to be an R32 btw it was LHD ( i dont think he'd bother converting it either) in my opinion the s13 coupe most resembles an R32

Oh oh sry. Check this out guys. I know its ricy. But conversion wise. Any thing is possible. HAHA

um... converting the front, Im not too sure about the procedure. i assume or probally can jump to the fact that the r33 body-kits for s14(s) are direct bolt-ons. But something like the real r33 front bumper requires alot more fabricating (im not too sure if it will even go on "correctly seeing how the real r33 is six inches wider than the s14). hahaha anything is possible with the right amount of determination, effort, time and.................money. I like your way of saying "I just think everyone should support each other." Silvia_Freak. It makes project(s) such as this more meaningful and more worthy, or at least to my perspective. O yah KaTdaToplesS13 i thought alot about using s13(s) to r32(s) for quite a while. i guess i prefer the look of the r33(s) more and since it seems easier to convert (the s14 front looks very similar to the r33). i guess it was the flip head lights of the s13 that threw me off. hopefully if i do finish this conversion i can try for the s13. Who knows maybe this might be more fun and "refreshing".
