I'm in the process of swapping the rear brakes for the 300zx twin turbo calipers, hubs, and rotors into my s13. I went with the turbo for the aluminum spindels instead of the iron no turbo ones. My question is if I want to swap in the 300zx no turbo LSD (turbo has different gear ration) could I also use the output shaft with it. I know swapping the 300zx LSD you need different output shaft but that is with the 240sx spindel. I would think it should all bolt in but with the output shafts and the different axels would they be to long? Dustin

I think you are using some incorrect terms, as far as I knwo all spindles? (guessing you mean stub axles?) are steel, the LCA's I thought were alumnum on all Z32's, as for the diff, the Z32TT uses an R230 VSLD and the Z32 n/a uses an R200VLSD, if you want the R200VLSD you it should mount to your rear subframs as the stocker did but will require CV shafts and companion flanges form the Z32N/A, you might have to swap your stock pinion flange ofver to fit your driveshaft as they are both short snout R200's they might be the same?

Were are there some detailed specs. I have a shop manual but is there anything online for free that tells you all that stuff. Like the the type of driveshaft how long all the detailed thing.

I don't know of a specification resource, just what I've observed and learned over the years

if you run the short snout r200 from the z32 na with the pinion flange from the stock short snout r200 open your stock shaft should work

The Z32 LSD will only work with different axles. You can't use Z32 axles because they are too wide. Good luck finding a set of 5 bolt j30 axles. The ones who have them won't separate the axles from the differential, because then they would have an unusable differential for the 240sx. My advice is to just get a j30 differential or a 240sx differential. That way, it'll just bolt up and you won't have to worry about the guessing. Also, your speedo will be off because the z32 runs 4.10 gears. No sense in doing all that. Keep it at 3.90, you'll be much happier.
