240sx to 200sx (engine swap) questions

Hi,

I´m a guy from Spain who owns a toyota celica gts and a mitsubishi 3000gt VR4 and in some days I may be the owner of a s13 240sx. I´m saying "I may be..." because first I want to know some things about the car.

For what I know the s13 240sx has a 2.4 litre N/A engine, right? The thing is I always wanted the 200sx, the turbo one with the CA18DET engine but as i have spent lots of money in the other two cars I don´t have enough money to buy a decent one.

So, I saw a 240sx near my home which is.... how would I say it.....its made sh** . apparently its been there for one year or so and the owner will sell it to me if I wanted for 150 dollars. the engine is missing some parts. the rest of the car.... I think I can fix it. I thought I could buy the car, get whatever remains of the engine out and put a CA18DET or a SR20DET engine. But as I´m not a genius in what refers to mechanics I have no idea what other parts I should change to make this engine swap. Other possibility I´ve thought is to rebuild the 2.4 engine and install a turbo kit.

what do you people think would be the best thing to do, swap the engine or install a turbo kit? also, does someone know which is the s13 240sx engine´s name, I mean, the turbo ones are CA18DET and SR20DET so the s13 240 sx engine´s is...?

You are correct.. the stock USDM 240sx has a 2.4L NA 4 cyl. It's a called a KA24de.

Many people choose to swap in the SR20 or the CA18. On the other hand, many people choose to turbo the KA.

The thing about NICO that is so cool is that we have a subforum for each of those engine choices.

I didn´t expect nobody to answer I don´t know what time it must be in there, I thought everybody might be in bed lol.

One question by the way about the KA24DE, is the engine block the same material as the CA18DET, I´ve heard the CA18DET´s engine block is made out of ¿¿¿iron??? or something and it is very strong.
