if your timing is off will that give you lack of power... and cause idling problems?? my car idling goes up and down not high or anything but just a little bit up and down. of would that be more of a vacuum leak thanks

If the ignition or cam timing is off, then you can lose power and have idling problems. The idle hunting can be caused by a sticking EGR valve, a severe vacuum leak or a bad O2 sensor.
