Hello. I just traded my 1991 eclipse with a 2.0 turbo for a 1989 240sx. I was wondering witch way should I go to at least get about the same amount of power I had in the eclipse. I had about 400 whp and was runing 12's in the quarter. Im sure the best way to go would probably to turbo the motor but would it be better to turbo a ka motor or swap a sr20?

Do a Ka24de swap, but before you do, build that motor then boost it. You'll get a little more power than the sr if done right. I know my friend's pushing 500hp on pump gas and he's running a ka-t.

The cheapest way to get that kind of power would be to rebuild the SINGLE CAM that's in there and turbo it. They have just about as much potential as the dual cam and some actually prefer it.

Both don't have nearly the aftermarket of the SR but you'll easily be able to find the parts you need. Here is the link to the KA-T forum. Read up. There is a plethora of great info and knowledgeable people there.
