240sx swap sr20

hello my name is pat and i recently purchased a 1995 nissan 240sx. the cars was completely stock until this passed long weekend i did a sr20 swap and im having some issues. hopefully i can get enough info to get it up and running. im pretty sure that i have wiring problems but .ike i said im new to the 240sx. the engine swap went fine everything bolted right up together, except for the rad, but my problem is that i try to start the car and it doesnt crank over, but if i manualy jump it at the starter pin under the fuse box it cranks over. another thing is that as soon as i turn the key on the wipers start going. now i have no spark, but i got fuel? any ideas on what could be going on? hope to hear back soon. thanks pat

sounds like a ground issue, check over all your grounds.

i check all the grounds and there all good i found some wiring diagrams for the f4 plug that i have to change around but im not sure if thats what has to be done when doing this swap?

I guess I should have started somewhere more basic what year/model did your sr come out of? have you altered any of the stock wiring in the sr harness? have you altered any of the stock chassis wires? is your s14 auto or manual? is the sr from an auto or manual?

im not 100 percent sure on the year and model i think its a 1995 its a sr20 s14 blacktop, i tried with the stock wiring first then i cshanged it to a diagram i found on the forums here, but i havent touched any of chassis wires, it a manual, and the sr20 come wit the transmission and is manual. ive been doing some searching do u thing i need to buy a harness set for this? but i donno much about these things so im not sure if its a kouki or zinki. all i know is that this is getting very stressfull

Unfortunately engine swaps just arnt easy, if the were everyone would do one. your going to need to do some searching on "sr20det identification" once you have id'ed your motor you can move onto wiring. knowing what motor you have will tell you which wiring guide to follow. alternatively you can purchase a prewired harness from a company like wiring specialties (great company) but you will still need to know the model and year of your car and the motor (or at least the motor year range or series)
