Ok so I was coming home from LAX practice on Friday and everything was normal the car ran great untill I was about five minutes from home. I started to feel the car jerk slightly in third gear, but it was barely noticable. Then I got to a stop and when I started going again the car started jerking real bad so I pulled over and let the car run for a bit and the idle was real bad it would drop bellow 1k then i would rev it to keep it from dying. I let it idle and when i tried to go again the car wouldnt go more than 2k rpm at full throttle while still jerking real bad. Eventually I turned off the car and let it sit, when i tried to start it again it wouldnt crank at all not the starter didnt even click. Then yesterday I went and tried to start it and it cranked for a couple seconds and then the starter clicked like normal when the battery is dead. Then today i jump-started it and it idled great for a while but as soon as i tried to drive it the jerking would come back then the car just stalled out. I jump-started it a second time and it idled great for a while then the problems started again where the car's idle was crappy only going up to 2k for a while then when i pushed in the clutch to attempt to drive it, it just died :wtf2:
So from my searching ive found that it could be a MAF problem but the other people who've had a bad MAF dont have the jerking problem. I did search but have had alot of mixed answers in different threads. Any input is mutch appreciated. If a video would help I can make one. Thanks in advance
*also there seemed to be some slight carbon buildup on my bumper, never noticed this before, could be related?
*also when I was revving the car was backfireing alot that definitly didnt happen before

i would try and first put a new battery and then retest. if you have incorrect voltage it can throw your sensors wacky. also check if your altenator is working properly

Ill see if i have time to stop by kragen tomorrow to get my battery tested/charged. This could very well be the problem, this is the third battery i go through from them. Thanks for the input, you the man
