I have a '93 5 speed 240sx, bout 155k miles on it.

From the right front wheel well at low RPMs a constantly squealing noise can be heard from anywhere around or in the car, and persists in reverse as well as forward gears. The noise isn't as noticeable out of 3rd gear, but that may be the engine simply drowning out the noise. Stock wheels, not rims, any ideas?

I will, but it doesn't sound like belts, sounds more like metal scraping metal, maybe from somewhere the right front wheel attaches to the rest of the car...Iunno...I'd say axle but I don't know if RWD cars have axles on the front wheels lol, I've always driven FWD till about 3 days ago.

check your inboard right brake pad to see if the squeeler is hitting. this is your indicator to tell you your brakes are close to needing replacement.

Someone else told me that too...is that only when the brakes are applied or whenever the car is moving?

when ever the car is moving and in alot of cases when you step on the brakes it may go away then come back when you release the brakes.
