the total time it took was 40 minutes.. Most of which was just talking and screwing around....
This is very easy to install.
Tools needed:
14mm socket17mm socketTorque wrench 40lbs and 85lbsfloor jack2 jack standsPB blaster or WD-40
This is a picture of the spacres that you get from SPL (talk to Alan)
first you jack up the car from the diffy and put the jack stands inder the car.
you then blast the bolts with PB/WD and let it sit for a few minutes.
while you wait, take your wheels off the car. (you don't need to but it will be much easier to get to the sub frame without them)
the front one has 2 14mm bolts holding the bottom plate up and one 17mm nut on the subframe that you see here:
here is Yeswepromise taking the nuts and bolts out:
I recomend doing one side at a time so the sub frame does not drop AND keep the jack under the diffy at all times.
this is what the bottom plate will look like once it's out and you put the spacer on it;
now you will have to slide the top spacer in. all you have to do is lower the sub frame a little by the jack and if that does nto work then put a breaker bar between the frame and subframe and pull it apart so you can just slide the top spacer in with the notch!!
this is what it looks like once you put the top and bottom in:
the back side of the sub frame is the same thing except there is only one 17mm nut holding it up:
*note* for the top of the back spacer you will have to lower the subframe by the diffy!!
the torque spec for the 14mm bolts is 40lbs and the torque spec for the 17mm nut is 85lbs
do each side at a time and bolt them back up! double check everything, put the wheels back on and take it for a spin..
