240sx shifting into 3rd issues
240sx shifting into 3rd issues
Got a 93 240sx in great running shape with lots of power. It shifts good in 1st & 2nd, but 3rd shifts late - needs to build up RPM, then whiplash. Anybody have any ideas as to what to do?

Whiplash, by jerking the whole car suddenly.

Is it an automatic? Sounds like a problem with Hard Shifting. Start by checking the transmission fluid, see if it's low or dirty.

It was recently changed, so it is new fluid & clean. Yes it is automatic. Any other ideas?
