240SX SE-R?

I did a search and didn't want to go through nearly 1000 threads.

OK. So, I have this friend here and he tells me that Nissan made a limited number of 240SX SE-R's that came with an SE20DE. Does anyone have any insight on this information. I am pretty sure that this never happened, but I want some solid proof of this. This guy is pretty knowledgeable about cars, but this just seems to be a little far fetched. I don't know everything about the models under the 240 name, but I know quite a bit.Thanks for any help here.

lol, guess your friend doesn't know nissans well, its sentra SE-R, not 240sx, the 240sx only came with the ka24e/de in the US, never was a special version with sr20de, cept for the japanese silvia(euro and other parts 200sx) which did come with a sr20det.

there is 240sx SE's which are the 1's that come fully loaded, but not SE-R's, SE-R is sentra's fully loaded vehicle with i believe couple of upgrades.

TheOne is right. Maybe your friend was thinking of the 200SX SE-R (FWD coupe based on the b14 chassis) that car actually came with a SR20DE. That was a US model.The only S-chassis cars that came with n/a longitundal SR20de's are only available outside of the U.S. I think for Japan its the Silvia J's (lowest on the heirachy) that came with n/a SR20DE's. He definitely has his engine codes out of whack and trim-lines.

Yeah, definatley the 200sx B14 is what he would be talking about, but it was also available with the sentra badge on it as well. As far as I know, the B13 had the same motor in its early years (around 1991) but never had the badge of "200sx".

The search function should have raised this question when it was asked like a year or more ago, I remember it from the past.

Yeah, the Infiniti G20t did, but that's not the 240sx SE-R that C33Laurel's friend described.

Ok...here's the deal. This friend of mine said he went to a junk yard to pull what he thought was a KA24DE out of an S-14. When he got there, he said it was an SR20DE that he pulled out. Apparently...according to said friend, a limited number of 240's were badged with the SE-R moniker and were given the NA SR. I have never heard of this and don't know where he got this information. That's why I posted this. It is possible that someone swapped a Q's motor, but it's not probable.

If anyone one knows where info on this might be findable, please let me know.
