So today my car was at the shop and i was there helpin out as usual and we were doin the back RS*R bushings including the LCA bushings and all the spindle bushings... As well as the B13 93' sentra ball joints in the rear LCA's well everything was going pretty smooth and the sleeves in the spindle and LCA's are a huge pain in the *** to do but one side is complete as of now.. WELL bushing wise at least.

We got to installing the sentra ball joints and they do not fit in the lca... They look like they would but they do not.. we were usin a hammer and a socket around the ball joint so it wouldnt damage it and it will not go in at all..... So my question is why have these worked for other people? What did you do to make them fit... And are the front lca ball joints the same as the rear lca ball joints?

have you tried a ball joint press? there not going to go in that easy thats why they stay there for 15 year at a time, go to autozone, rent one and do it the right way. might i ask why the b13 ball joint, why not a stock one?

They don't sell just the rear ball joint for the S13, you have to by the whole lower control arm. The S13 sentra ball joint is a close fit, you have grind/file it down to fit.

front and rear ball joints are different. you can't use the front on the rear.

the sentra ball joint will work. the difference is only .5mm.

getting them out will not be easy.

i had a shop do my balljoints, so i can't give you any tips on how to do the swap

but they work, that's what i'm using.

I installed front ball joints for an '89 Sentra in my S13's rear LCAs. I left them in the freezer for about a day, and used an AutoZone ball-joint press and a little grease. They went in like butter.

I have used that trick before for a flywheel ring gear. Me and my dad flipped it around put the ring gear in the oven and the flywheel in the freezer slipped right on

I know OM3GA has figured this out since this thread was started in 2008... I just pressed in some MOOG K9509 in the front and MOOG K9633 in the rear. Theres another thread on here rear-ball-joint-replacement-s13-t345029.html with this response

Mine pressed in no problem, no freezing or grinding. You can see how I did it on my build page, link in sig. Also installed hyperflex bushings
