Hey everyone, I need help with a few questions I have about s13 JDm VLSD's. I just purchased one a day ago and I just noticed that it's for ABS when my 240sx is none Non-ABS. I'm wondering abou fitment, i really need to know because I bought it from a private seller. Also, if it would fit..is there any differences in size? dimensions? What fluid do i put in there? Which brands have you guys had luck with and what ratings? If you guys can help I would greatly appreciate it, thanks!

I doubt it would work, but don't take my word for it.

I had a J30 vlsd that had an abs sensor. I just cut the wire so it wouldn't get in the way. It worked fine for me. Nick

Ya man itll work fine. The driveshaft is telescoping so it changes length. you will need 5bolt axles tho

vlsd = viscous limited slip differentiallsd = limited slip differential

some s13's had vlsd in them. the ones with ABS and hicas had it. and I think you don't need the 5 bolt axles, those where for s14. s13 had the 6 bolt (3 sets of 2)

Only the hicas models came with lsd on the S13. I bought a 95 or 96 J30 vlsd and it had the 6 bolt flanges. Everything bolted up fine. Nick

Well, I just installed my VLSD on saturday. Definitly 5-bolt and it had S13 written on it. It could have been mislabeled I guess, but I've seen people on FA say that older ones have 5 bolt

S13's with VLSD were 5 bolt, S13's with open rear end had 6 bolt.

do not add any additives to your VLSD. It is a sealed unit.

Accually the J30 went in fine. I had to switch the rear covers. Then the stock bolts that go into the rear subframe weren't long enough. The bolts needed to be about an inch longer due to the bushings. I bought bolts at a specalty shop and had to have them machimed down to fit properly. Took a shop a day to machine correctly. I had about 2 days of down time. The drive shaft soaked up the extra length. Also I got the six bolt flanges with the J30. Hope this helps. Nick
