I would double check the part number with the store and if possible bring your old one in for reference.

How's it not working right? What looks different?

There's a few styles of the mesh and stuff that sucks the fuel out of the rail, in OEM type injectors. They should all work identically.

Make VERY sure that you have new top and bottom O-rings, and that before putting in the injector you use your fingers to get out any bits of ring, especially the bottom one, that got left behind -- then put a heavy coat of vaseline or dielectric grease on the new O-rings before installation to lubricate them as they slide into place, or they will tear and leak and cause flooding (and all sorts of other really bad things).

I think I've had just about every problem that one could have with stock injectors, I can likely help.

I've had two types of injector from autozone it simultaniously. As long as it's rated properly in flow, it's fine.

But, what is it doing wrong?

One thing: the injector will come with the proper rings on it, but if you go to buy more from autozone, they have a dorman brand grab-bag they'll try to sell you. It does NOT have a ring that works, it has one that's a bit too small and one that's too big and will tear because it just won't fit. If you need a seperate ring order it from courtesynissan. I mean, sometimes they come out reusable, but there's no reason to take the chance, even if you get it running with a reused one you should probably order a good one in the long run.

But, again, what's the symptom here? What's not working? I can probably tell you much more specifically, and maybe save you a lot of time, having probably done all this myself, if you describe your situation. What happened at first, what have you tried since then, what's it doing, what's comming out the exhaust, etc.

The car was running fine. So i took it to the smog check it pass but the mecanic had to fix some problems whith the vaccum lines. Then a day afyer a cylnder stoped working so i was sure that the injector was the problem onece i chain it it woork perfect. Then the day after it stop working agaim i took the injector out and notice that the small oring was had tear then i sched to the old oringr from my old injector it work again but the same thing hapend. So i think that its just that i did not intalled properly cause i did not put grease on the o rings.i just bought new oring from oreilly and its working perfect so i think thats solved now.

Sweet, good to know.

Yeah, I had that happen when I actually had a shop do it, took me forever to figure out, I thought the miss meant it had stopped working again, couldn't imagine the shop doing it wrong, but eventually the gassy exhaust cued me in.

For what it's worth, it's good you got your smog check done already.... flooding like that must be horrible for the cat. Mine still seemed to work fine, but when I firsh got it runnig it bogged and made huge clouds of smoke, must have been full of liquid gas down there. Mine survived, but beware that it could have done damage.

As I recall from researching when I had this problem, this seems to be a common error that has literally caused many 240s to be scrapped in frustration.
