I'm going to buy 17 x 8 on front , 17x 9 or 17x 9.5 on rear for my 240sx s13.What is best offset for those wheels without rolling the fender. And what size tires?

Any pictures???

Best for what? What do you want to do with it? Do you have coilovers or Z brakes? If not, do you plan to?

I'm in the same spot as you, car-wise, and I'm going to run 17x9 with a 20mm offset and I am going to roll the fenders. I'll run a Falken Azenis RT-615 sized 235 40 17 all the way around to maintain neutral handling characteristics.

I used to think about sqeezing the widest wheels possible myself. Thanks for age and wizdom. I presently run 5lug, z32 brakes all around and tein hr coilovers. Wheelwise this is what I use presently: Atech Competitions 16x8 +25with 225/50 Falken 615's. They clear everything with no rubbing, or rolling. I love this settup. Normally I run 17x8 +22 with 225/45 front and 17x9 +27 with 245/40 rear. Same wheels as above with Dunlop fm 901's. On the front, I can sqeeze my pinky between the coil and the tire. Its close, but clears, the wheels stick out maybe 3/8" , the rears stick out a bit more than that and I get the occasional rub so the rears do need to be rolled in a bit. Gonna be moving up to a 17x9 +17 up front with a 235 or 245/40 tire. If I did my math right, the fronts should stick out as much as the rears, and I'll probably run up my height by 1/2". We will see this weekend. I hope all this is usefull to you, and sorry for the long read.

why stagger when youve still got room up front?

you can fit a 17x9 all around no problem

I'm gonna flip the rears over to the front this weekend and re measure the drop. The new wheels should be in tomorow or saturday, then she goes in for a full alignment. Theres only one thing still bothering me. The wheels have this really nice blue tinted silver color. Looks great. I want something darker. One of these sets is getting powdercoated. I dont know why, but I am strongly considering matte gold. or black......

Sorry to thread jack,

17x8 on s13 all around-do they fit without worry or potential conflict? I am thinking about ASA AR1s, how would the 17x8s 35 offset fit on the s13?

Yar.... I have the same question as thenillaz.

I bought a set of FN01R-Cs in 17x8 +35, was planning on running 225x45R17 all around. Just wanted to confirm that I shouldnt have any problems. I do not have coilovers or Z-brakes.

I'm in the same boat too, Z32 brakes, 5 lug swap, MR coilovers. I'm wanting to run 17X8 and 17X9 also, but stay as flush with the fenders as possible-rolling the fenders is an option for me though. -I'd also appreciate anyone input on what offset they are running in these sizes while maintaining a "flush" appearance.

-Thanks!

with a roll, everybodys scared of rolling and im not sure why...it takes no time, its easy to do, and it lets you run nicer wheels

you dont need a pull, thats where people would have trouble if anywhere

you can fit 17x9 +20 ish with a 235/40/17 tire up front with around -2 camber...no big deal
