Hello,

I did a search on this, but I couldn't find the info I needed. I was wondering if a rear pumpkin out of a Q45 will fit into my 1993 240sx.

If it will fit what year Q45 do I need to be looking for to get this pumpkin.

I'm needing this Q45 pumpkin because of the gear ratio in it. I think the gear ratio is around 3.58 or so.

Any information would be great.

Thank you

Thank you for the reply.

I do know the J30 and Z32 N/A will fit.

I've heard that the 1990-1996 Q45 pumpkin will fit in my 1993 Nissan 240sx, but I just wanted to see if anybody has done this.

If anybody has done this or heard of someone doing this please let me know.

We are trying to get ready for racing season and need this gear ratio.

Thanks again

'97-01 Q45 is an R200, and will bolt into your subframe...but you'll need to change the input flange, and find axles that fit ('92-93 J30 axles).

The output shafts have a different spline count as compared to S13/S14/Z32/J30 VLSD 6-bolt output shafts.

This is NOT exactly a bolt-on deal...so don;t bother if you're not serious.

Here's a writeup of a guy who put a Z32 non-turbo diff into his Q45...so if we can put the non-turbo diff into our cars using J30 axles (tried and trued)...then the Q45 *should* bolt in, using J30 axles...assuming you can get a Z32 non-turbo input flange.

So, what is the rear gear ratio for a 97-01 Q45?

~3.54:1

IIRC, it's a 46:13 tooth count

46/13 = 3.538461....

you can use the pre 95 j30 axles...they are the same length and spline count as the s13/14 and have the 5 bolt flange of the z32 and q45

Thanks for all the info guys.

I have a friend who works at a salavage yard and he has a 1991 Q45 pumpkine and some 1994 J30 axles.

I'm going to take my s13 pumpkin down there and we are going to see if the Q45 pumpkin looks the same and then I'm going to try and install this in the car.

My first night of racing is this Friday night, but hopefully we can get this Q45 pumpkin to work before out next race.

Here is a pic of the racecar that we are racing on 1/4 mile and 3/8 mile dirt tracks.
