240sx problem

My car is very sluggish and sometimes will almost stutter, it does not happen under 3k rpm, kind of like it gets power for a second, then looses it, then gets it back again, then looses it, : stuttering : this only happens at like 3000k+ rpm, most of the time it happens in second gear, I finished the transmission swap to take it from auto to manual but I don't think that has anything to do with it. any help would be much appreciated... thank you

i'm not too familiar, but it sounds like a timing problem to me and to my knowledge, the timing chain on KAs goes pretty regularly, but that's just where i'd start to look.
