HMm Im gettin one in january. Sr20 swap is optional, but I do like the sound of 2.4 liters over just 2. Ive heard of turbocharging, the original Ka engine, is it wise? I really would like to do it, if anyone knows any turbo kits specifically designed for it. Ive driven a Silvia S15 and I loved it, although the 240 has more torque, I definitly sence more potential, but the thickness of the block does worry me, cause most peeps say they cant boost more than like 8 psi. Well I love all Nissan cars, and Im just lookin for some imput.

Thanks Tony

one more thing, I was really inspired when I saw an article bout some guys 240sx, his name is JAy and his car runs 12's. just wonderin if it was Ka or Sr.

The Ford 302 isn't designed for a turbo either and I've seen them run deep into the 7s.

Just something for thought.

Well, I decided not to turbo my ka since I bought it with a lot of miles. Now I'm saving a little money for an SR20DET. There are plenty of guys running turbo'd ka's. Try to contact them and ask what their experiences have been

In fact, there's an entire section of NICO dedicated to turbo KA's!

Hang around for a while, read the forums (esp. the SR and KA-T ones) and absorb all you can. You can learn a lot of stuff by just searching through all the posts, new and old, around here.

As for the KA, it's a tough engine. There are guys making really good power on stock internals, and in the end I think a lot really comes down to engine management.

If you've got a healthy KA and can avoid any detonation issues, you'll be set.
