Alright well first thing first i bought a 1992 Nissan 240sx "redtop" a couple months ago and im wondering if i should leave it the way it is oem with the front lip and slam it or put an aftermarket bodykit on it??1. oem vs bodykit??

Next is the car has bottom mount turbo and i was wondering if i should switch to top mount? i find it more appealing to the eye but i heard top mount heat the hood quickly and dont reallly change much, ide say if it aaint broke dont change it lol. Esp since mine has aftermarket headers already...2.Bottom mount vs Top mount?

Heres some pics of my car a it sits any comments would help like if i should get clear lights in back not rice lights, or sleepers or w.e , No Haters.Just going for a JDM look...

Post up pics of your fav 240sx to help out thanks ;]

both can be pulled off well. both can be fails. Its your choice man. Only thing I could think of is buying new kits could get expensive. I enjoy nice oem aero personally. The red hatchback you posted looks super clean.

I wouldn't get clears. I'd get kouki lights if I were you they just look so good. I think I saw some for sale either on here or zilvia for 320 which is pretty damn good imo. Just search most recent kouki tails in the classifieds.

Want a clean streetcar? Go OEM. Gonna beat it to hell on the track? Get a cheap body kit.
cubantunr wrote:2.Bottom mount vs Top mount?
If it ain't broke don't fix it. Stick with your botton mount manifold and T2 flange turbos...

Want JDM? Then buy JDM OEM kouki lights. Simply as that. If you go with the Altezza style lights, do yourself a favor and use a opaque body colored vinyl overlay on the center garnish and cover the tail lights with translucent vinyl in red or smoked tint.

Just my /.02

1) doesn't matter what I think, I aint gonna be driving it but whatever you do with it, don't half asss it... imo, the stance is what's more appealing to me aesthetically wise...

2) if your still rocking any type of t2 turbo, you're gonna be going bottom mount regardless, unless you fab up your own manifold. The only reason to ever go top mount is for clearance issues, such that t3s and bigger turbos have

Thanks for all the help fella, keep it coming, so far im thinkin ima keep the oem front but get the car slammed on some nismo or volk racing rims, paint her white with the clear tail lights but paint the center peice, and for the engine i'll just get the greddy intake plenum just to make the wiring clean and make the engine bay nice to look at.

Yea the red ones real sick, my cars the black one with no bumper lol. Right now im jut looking for some 500cc-550cc injectors to get my car running cause owner before me put 810cc and engine keeps flooding...

Kinda hard to keep it oem n slammed when you live in Sioux City, IA ugh...

You might have already seen the discussion on here already but, IMO the origin crystal tails look better than koukis. You should take a look at them. They're also not as common. http://enjukuracing.com/origin...2_126

-Why sell the NA-T when you can put it in the 240? -Search for my newest thread: "The Definitive 4 Lug Wheel Thread" before you decide to go 5 lug....
