well, i love my 240 to death, but to be honest, the ka is really pissing me off.

to start, my #1 cylinder would fire randomly on and off..so i started with new plugs and plug wires..well it came out that that wasnt my problem..so i took a plug out and put a plug wire on it and i could clearly see that my distributor wasnt bad..so then i decided to move on and buy an injector and hope that that would solve my problem..(i checked my harness to make sure it was fine first) so i put my injector in, and it was running/idoling a little better...well, i went to work the next day, and when i got off, i got to the stop sign, pulled out a little faster than normal because of traffic, and then it went back to not firing..so i thought if i would give it some time that it would start to run correctly again, but it didnt..so now every time i start my car, it is hard to start and when it is started, it makes a clicking sound (i think it is coming from somewhere around my catalyic converter) and it only runs off three cylinders..

if anyone could help me, thatd be great.thanks.

I had a similar prob with my 90. First, have u checked it by pulling the wires off the plugs while running and checking spark? You should hear/see the spark and if you pull it off completely and it runs rougher, the wire, plug and dist should be fine. Do this with ALL the plugs. Second, double and triple check your wire/firing order to make sure the right wire is where it should be. Then re-check timing. My cap had the pin burned up on the the inside of mine on #1 i believe. I relpaced wires, plugs and rotor and checked the timing. Found out I screwed up the sequence last plug change. Works fine now. Eventually I had to change the cat too. Actually I just knocked it (no smog testing here) out hollow because it glowed red from being really nasty inside. My exhuast was making that clanging sound. Sound familiar? Not sure if it was backflowing exhuast or what but the problem was apparently solved. Good luck.
