i jus bought a 93 240sx and i was trying to start it and im not getting no spark to the coil or to the fuel pump I've spent the past two day trying to figure out what could be the problem some people told me it could be the ecu i replaced it with a new one and still did the same thing engine would turn over with no problem but no spark or no fuel going through i took out the fuel pump and tested it and it works perfectly and distributor as well also checked all the fuses and checked all the relays and there all getting power...it has a baretta aftermarket alarm system with a kill switch but the alarms red led light is blinking all over the place so im not sure if the alarm is working....does anybody if the alarm could cause the coil and the fuel pump power to be shut off if the kill switch is not functioning properly? if it is can anybody tell me where i can find a wiring diagram so i can take out the alarm? thanks....im stressing out i cant figure this out i would appreciate the help

removing your alarm should be pretty straight forward, most alarm installs use wire taps and can simply be uncliped from the factory wiring (soldered in kits need to be cut out) the only wire that should have been cut and rerouted would be the starter wire for the starter kill relay install. simply remove the relay there and rejoin the starter wire. most alarms are mounted behind the dash in the driver area, as is most of the wiring for it. if thay did happen to tap into the ecu harness for a fuel pump kill the most likely place is behind the blower motor or in the ecu area in general. i would also check for non-factory wiring as alot of ppl believe thay are better at wiring than the factory, as well as checking grounds, especially in the head area. those head grounds are for your ecu and other systems that are needed to function the car. you can also check to see if the light on the back of the ecu illuminates when the key is in the run position (signaling the ecu is on) hope this helps.

ok well ive been working on it for the past 3 weeks and i still couldnt figure it out i paid a mechanic to come diagnose it and he took the distributor apart and the slit wheel thats inside the distributor is warped and he told me that, that wheel is the one that send the signal for fuel and spark i jus wnt to verify if this is true cuz the distributor arnt cheap for me to go buy one and at the junk yards every 240 that i found the distributor was missing so if anybody knows if this is true please help me out by telling me

You need to check the main relay. Does the check engine light come on? If the cel light doesn't come on then the computer is not turned on. Check ECCS relay under hood. Take a test light and check for power at coil, and dist. If the cel does come on check for codes. The ecu has a led on the side to flash out codes. The factory service manual will tell how to check codes.
